Problem & Goal
I came up with the hypothetical event called Explosive Music Festival. Which would be hosted locally at Misquamicut Beach, RI. I wanted to focus on the music genre of rap music. I then started thinking of design elements that scream beach party, fun, and music. My target audience for this poster would be young adults who want to enjoy a summer night partying and listening to their favorite artists.
Strategy & Process
I started by writing down design elements I planned to use and then digitally finding inspiration and creating my own. I designed a background theme in Illustrator of the sunset and beach meeting each other. Then they brought in the huge speakers and red solo cups to symbolize party time. I then chose a lineup of artists I believe would fit best for an event like this. Then finally just worked through the hierarchy and chose the fonts best to match the theme.
